Announcement

Overview

The announcement module allows administrators to configure pre-recorded messages that play to callers. These announcements can direct users, provide information, or serve as a bridge before routing to another destination, like queues, IVRs, or extensions.

How to access

  • Sidebar (Settings Icon) => Announcements

Screen Layout

Announcements Table:

  • Description: The name or label of the announcement.

  • Destination: Indicates what happens after the announcement plays (e.g., hangup, IVR, queue, or extension).

  • Actions:

    • Edit icon: Modify the announcement.

    • Delete icon: Remove the announcement.

How to Use

  • Add a New Announcement
  1. Click + Add new announcement.

  1. Fill in the form fields:

  • Description: Provide a descriptive name for the announcement.

  • Recording: Select the audio file to be played. (uploaded from Recording Module)

  • Repeat: Choose how many times the message should repeat.

  • Destination After Playback: Select where the call should go after the announcement ends.

  • Destination Matches: Define the specific match condition for the next step (e.g., specific extension or queue).

  1. Click Submit to save or Reset to clear the form.

  • Edit an Announcement
  1. Click the Edit icon next to the announcement.

  2. Modify any required fields (description, recording, destination, etc.).

  3. Click Submit to save the changes.

  • Delete an Announcement
  1. Click the Trash icon next to the announcement.

  2. Confirm deletion to permanently remove it from the system.
