Recordings

Overview

The Recordings module enables administrators to manage pre-recorded audio files for announcements, welcome messages, or system messages. It facilitates adding, editing, and deleting recordings for use in call flows and IVR options.


How to access

  • Sidebar (Settings Icon) => Recordings

Screen Layout 

  • Recordings Table: Displays all existing recordings in a tabular format with the following columns:

    • Name: Display name of the recording.

    • Description: Brief note or purpose of the recording.

    • File: Path or identifier of the uploaded audio file.

    • Actions: Options available for each recording:

      • Edit

      • Delete

      • Play/Preview

How to Use

  • Add a New Recording

  1. Click + Add new recording.

  2. Fill in the form.

    • Display name: Provide a recognizable name for the recording.

    • Description: Add a short description to explain its use.

    • File: Upload an audio file (e.g., WAV or MP3 format).

  3. Click Submit to upload the recording or Cancel to discard changes.

  • Edit a Recording
  1. Click the edit icon (pen) beside the recording.

  2. Update the name, description, or replace the file.

  3. Click Submit to save changes.

  • Delete a Recording
  1. Click the delete icon (trash can) beside the recording.

  2. A confirmation prompt will appear

  3. Confirm to permanently delete the recording.

  • Preview a Recording
  • Click the green play button beside any recording to listen to it within the interface.

Note
  • Deleting a recording that is currently assigned to an IVR or other active feature may impact system functionality.
