Setting Up Facebook and Instagram Channels in Bevatel
Effortlessly set up your Facebook and Instagram channels to enhance customer communication through Bevatel. Follow these simple steps to get started.
Setting up Instagram
Step 1: Make sure you have a Business Instagram account. Follow this guide from Instagram to help with the same.
Step 2: Make sure your Facebook page is connected to this Instagram account. To connect to Facebook and Instagram, follow these steps:
- Go to https://www.facebook.com/pages/?category=your_pages
- Select Your Page
- Go to Settings
- Select “Instagram” and connect your business account as shown below:

For Cloud Version of Bevatel:
Follow these steps to connect your Facebook and Instagram accounts on the cloud version of Bevatel.
Step-by-Step Setup:
- Navigate to Channels:
- Go to Settings → Channels.
- Click on Add Channel to begin adding a new Facebook or Instagram inbox.
- Select Messenger & Instagram:
- Click on the Messenger & Instagram icon to choose this integration for connecting both platforms in one setup.
- Log in to Facebook:
- A new window will open. Click on Continue with Facebook.
- Log into the Facebook account that manages the Facebook Page and linked Instagram account, or confirm if you’re already logged in.

- Authenticate with Facebook and Select Pages:
- You will be prompted to give Bevatel permissions to manage your Facebook Page and Instagram account.
- Enable all permissions displayed. Granting full permissions ensures Bevatel can perform desired actions seamlessly, like managing messages and posts.
- Select the Facebook Page(s) and linked Instagram account(s) you want Bevatel to access.
- Opt-in to all current and future Pages, which includes any pages you may add in the future.
- Opt-in to current Pages only to limit access to only selected pages.

- Save Permissions:
- After selecting your pages and accounts, click Save to confirm the setup.

- Assign Agents to the Inbox:
- Once the connection is complete, Bevatel will display your Facebook and Instagram channels in the list.
- Add agents to your inbox to manage conversations from Facebook Messenger and Instagram Direct.
- You can add individual agents or teams to ensure the right people can respond to messages.

Additional Inbox Settings
After setting up your Facebook and Instagram channels, configure additional settings to optimize how your inbox operates.
- Navigate to Inbox Settings:
- In the Channels list, find the newly created Facebook and Instagram inbox.
- Click the gear icon next to the inbox name to access its settings.
- Settings Tab:
- Enable Channel Greeting: Toggle this on to automatically send a greeting message to new conversations initiated through this inbox.
- Enable CSAT (Customer Satisfaction Survey): Enabling this option will prompt a Customer Satisfaction survey each time a ticket is resolved. CSAT results are viewable in the Reports section.
- Reauthorize: If at any point you need to reconnect and reauthorize your Facebook and Instagram accounts, click Reauthorize to refresh permissions.
- Collaborators Tab:
- In the Collaborators tab, manage the agents and teams associated with this inbox:
- Adding Agents: Assign agents who can directly access this inbox from the Conversation module, enabling them to manage interactions on Facebook and Instagram.
- Adding Teams: Assign specific teams to this inbox for an effective conversation assignment. Only teams added here will appear as assignment options in the Conversation module.
- Automatic Assignment: Toggle the automatic assignment of new conversations to agents or teams in the inbox as needed.
- Update Settings:
Once you've configured your settings, click Update to save changes.
Congratulations!
Your Facebook and Instagram channels are now connected to Bevatel. All customer messages received on your Facebook page and Instagram account will appear in your Bevatel inbox, allowing you to manage interactions from both platforms in one place.
